We believe that part of our duties towards our communities is teaching and learning from each other, and about each other. It is one of the best ways of fighting ignorance, misconceptions and stereotype. We believe that we are a resource for the larger community and a resource for our local Muslim community. We try to organize programs, workshops, seminars and invite speakers that will keep us connected and engaged in this area. Here are some of the recent examples: Telling my Story to Islam Series and Celebrating the Prophets (PBU) Birth Day panel and seminar with IA (Interfaith Association) and JMU- MSA (Muslim Student Association). InshAllah we will continue with these seminars and workshop once we have a place to house the VMCF.
